Located in a Beaux Arts-style building that dates back to 1911, the W New York - Union Square went through a full remodel in 2025, giving it a fresh, vibrant feel that matches the energy of the city. You’ll be staying within an eight-minute walk of the iconic Flatiron Building and Madison Square and just two blocks from Gramercy Park. This being Manhattan, there’s no shortage of places to eat nearby if you are staying long enough to tire of the three on-site dining destinations. You’ll find everything from Indian cuisine to Tex-Mex practically at your doorstep.

Guest rooms here are colourful but sophisticated, decked out in bold hues like dark green, plum and touches of tangerine, all enhanced by mirrors that reflect the natural light streaming in through large windows. Some rooms are available with an additional sofa bed or park views, while Deluxe Suites offer a partially separated living area to enjoy. Two choice options are the Premier Suite and the Urban Suite, which are both set on a corner of the hotel for enhanced views. Each room includes little touches inspired by the city, including custom-commissioned artwork, lighting fixtures inspired by subway stations and taxicab-inspired faucet handles.

The signature restaurant here, Seahorse, is decorated in striking murals and invites guests to enjoy a relaxed breakfast each morning and fresh seafood made with seasonal ingredients for dinner. Decked out in sapphire blue and gold, the Living Room is designed to be a gathering place where you can plan your day over fresh pastries and Devoción Coffee, or unwind with cocktails and late-night snacks. The Guardian Rooftop is the place to be for perfectly-mixed cocktails, incredible sunset views or a selfie with the city lights glittering below you. The bar has a retractable roof and a wrap-around terrace so guests can partake of delicious drinks and picture-perfect views in any weather.

On the basement level, you’ll find W’s signature FIT gym, which is outfitted with everything from a Peloton bike room to the latest Technogym equipment to hydromassage machines for after your workout.
