Movie Matinée and Brunch - Rome
ASMALLWORLD invites members and guests to join Ambassador Claudia Pellicano, at Cinema Troisi for a screening of Juste la fin du monde, one of Xavier Dolan’s most celebrated movies.
The film tells the story of Louis, a playwright who reunites with his family whom he hasn’t seen in 12 years, to announce his upcoming departure. The reunion stirs and brings back all sorts of feelings- resentment, fear, endeavours of empathy, beautifully conveyed by a stellar cast that boasts Gaspard Ulliel, Vincent Cassel and Marion Cotillard.
It won, among other awards, Cannes Grand Prix and a César in the categories of best actor and best director.
About the Venue:
Over the past few years, Fondazione Piccolo America restored this historical theatre making it one of the coolest landmarks in Rome. It hosts a wide range of events and meetings with both national and international guests, proving how powerful Seventh Art still is in bringing people together.
About Xavier Dolan: Xavier Dolan is a Canadian filmmaker, actor and costume designer. Since 2009, he has written and directed eight feature films, for which he has received many accolades, including several Canadian Screen Awards and César Awards.
The ticket price of €3 needs to be paid on-site for the film in VO with subtitles (contact our Ambassador if you want to purchase tickets in advance).
