ASMALLWORLD invites members and their guests to join Vincent Corver for Improvisations de la Mémoire, a concert shaped entirely in the moment, a journey through sound where recollection, imagination, and craftsmanship converge at the piano.
Step into an immersive musical evening where Corver reimagines the worlds of Chopin, Debussy, Hans Zimmer, and Ludovico Einaudi through spontaneous, free-flowing improvisation.
At the heart of the performance is Corver’s love for French Impressionism, infused with the sweeping drama of modern cinematic music. Memory, colour, and movement intertwine as each piece evolves in real time before the audience.
A special moment of the concert will feature live variations on popular Arabic pieces, created in real time as a tribute to the UAE and its rich culture. The programme also includes a dedicated theme and variations for Steinway & Sons Dubai, conceived specifically for the instrument and the space it inhabits.
Vincent Corver is an official Steinway Artist and award-winning pianist, film composer, and producer. His recordings and global performances use cutting-edge 3D sound technology, redefining how music interacts with the human body and mind. In addition to five-star acclaim from The Gramophone Magazine, BBC Music Magazine, The Guardian, The Independent, American Record Guide, and many others, his work has earned him the Diapason d’Or Award and the accolade of “The 30 Must-Have Recordings of Our Lifetime” from BBC Music Magazine on its 30-year anniversary.
As Founder and CEO of Swiss Sonic GmbH and creator of the Swiss record label Stardust Music, Corver pioneers the use of 3D medical soundscapes across the fields of mental health, longevity, recovery, and neonatal care. His work explores music as an epigenetic interface, integrating sound into the future of personalised medicine, neuro-acoustic therapy (NAT), and wellness innovation. In neonatal units, his graded-exposure soundscapes support preterm infants’ breathing and neurological stability, while in longevity and mental health programmes, his compositions form part of therapeutic frameworks designed to enhance wellbeing and resilience.
His collaborations span the globe, working with world-renowned DJs such as BT and Paul van Dyk on tracks including “While You Were Gone”, “Escape Reality Tonight”, “Reprise”, and “Deep Within”. He is also an official Voting Member of the Recording Academy’s GRAMMY® Awards. With a career spanning almost two decades across the UK, Switzerland, and the Middle East, Corver has created sonic branding identities for international luxury brands and corporations, including Qatar Airways, Vodafone, IBQ, the FIFA World Cup (Qatar Tourism Authority), Rolls-Royce, Zulal Resort, Ultima Collection Hotel Group, Formula One – Sauber Racing, and many others.
