ASMALLWORLD Top Events of the Year 2025

ASMALLWORLD Top Events of the Year 2025

Another year, another extraordinary events calendar. In 2025, ASMALLWORLD's events schedule was one of our most extensive ever - featuring gatherings in over 130 international locations to bring members together from all over the world. As we’ve just wrapped up the spectacular ASMALLWORLD Winter Weekend and the year draws to a close, now is the perfect time to showcase our event highlights of the year, as selected by our very own Brunilde Le Jossec, Head of Experiences.

Snow Polo World Cup, St. Moritz

Played on the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz, the Snow Polo World Cup marked its 40th edition this winter and once again proved why it remains one of the most distinctive fixtures on the social calendar.

For ASMALLWORLD members, it's become an annual pilgrimage: three days where world-class polo takes place against a backdrop of snowcapped peaks and that particular St. Moritz atmosphere that's impossible to replicate anywhere else.

Between games, the Polo Village served as a natural meeting point for members, while VIP ticket holders enjoyed front-row views with champagne and unobstructed sightlines to the Engadin mountains beyond the frozen lake.

“What we hear most is that members appreciate the relaxed structure. You can watch every match or just a few, spend time in the Polo Village, and you have many options for how to spend your evening. It's curated without feeling rigid.”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

The tournament itself delivered with fast-paced matches, skilled players, and the unique spectacle of polo played on ice. Between games, the Polo Village served as a natural meeting point for members, while VIP ticket holders enjoyed front-row views with champagne and unobstructed sightlines to the Engadin mountains beyond the frozen lake.

Evenings unfolded naturally across St. Moritz with intimate dinners and impromptu gatherings. The polo brought members together, but it was everything else: the crisp alpine air, the unique St. Moritz sophistication, the mix of old friends and new acquaintances - all in one of the world’s most spectacular winter destinations that made the event truly remarkable.

The Snow Polo World Cup proved once again to be among ASMALLWORLD's fastest-selling events. We're pleased to confirm members will be invited back for the 2026 edition. If you are interested in attending, we suggest you book in advance as tickets are limited and demand is high - view ticket availability here

Summer Weekend, Saint-Tropez

The ASMALLWORLD Summer Weekend returned to Saint-Tropez for its sixth edition, reaffirming its status as one of the staples of the ASW events calendar - a seasonal milestone and a beloved member reunion all in one of the world’s most magnetic luxury destinations.

“Summer Weekend has become something members actively plan their summer around - as they can simply arrive and enjoy themselves with others who share their tastes and perspectives, it’s a combination that’s hard to beat. ”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

Against the storied backdrop of Hotel Byblos (whose guest register reads like a who's who of cultural icons), the weekend unfolded into a display of natural, non-showy sophistication among friends. Friday opened with golden hour cocktails by the pool, where members reconnected, and first-timers were warmly welcomed against the glow of the Saint-Tropez sunset.

The evening continued at Le Quai, a glamorous portside venue where live music and cabaret dancers weaved between tables as champagne flowed freely, with an exhilarating after-party that captured Saint-Tropez nightlife at its finest.

Saturday brought a leisurely seaside lunch at Bagatelle beach club, where rosé sparkled, and Provençal platters were shared under the Mediterranean sun, followed by dinner at La Petite Plage with harbour views that never disappoint. The evening culminated at Les Caves du Roy, where VIP guest list access whisked guests past velvet ropes and onto a dancefloor that's witnessed decades of Tropezian nightlife, yet somehow always feels current into the early hours of the morning.

“We see the same faces return year after year, often bringing new members with them - that's always the best indicator....when people not only come back, but actively encourage others to join them.”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

As the final morning unfolded over breakfast, stories were swapped over coffee and plans for future reunions were already taking shape… because among Summer Weekend guests, farewells are fond but never truly final.

Oktoberfest, Munich

Each autumn, Munich becomes the centre of the events world, and this year's Oktoberfest proved no exception. Across three gatherings spanning the festival's two weeks, ASMALLWORLD members experienced the Wiesn as it should be—steins raised, traditional dress on full display, and that unmistakable Bavarian energy shared in great company.

“Oktoberfest has a particular energy that's hard to replicate - our main job is to secure the best tables, coordinate the timing, and bring the right people together. The Wiesn tends to take care of the rest.”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

The celebrations began with a warm-up at Der Pschorr on Viktualienmarkt, where Ambassador Gillain Berry gathered members for fresh Edelhell poured from wooden barrels in one of Munich's most iconic beer halls. The main event arrived at the Armbrustschützenzelt, where Ambassador Markus Fuhrig hosted members in one of the Wiesn's largest and most atmospheric tents. After nostalgic bumper car rides, guests in Lederhosen and Dirndls filled the 7,000-seat hall for live music and hearty platters, where everyone left feeling part of something larger.

THE WIESN IN FULL SWING

Ambassadors Berry and Elen Lang also hosted an After-Wiesn Party at Hotel Krone, where two floors, four bars and an ASMALLWORLD-exclusive Champagne Lounge kept the spirit alive long after the tents had emptied. Members left slightly exhausted and thoroughly entertained, already enquiring about next year’s booking availability - the unmistakable sign of Oktoberfest done properly.

NYFF: Jay Kelly Movie Premiere and Q&A with George Clooney, New York

One of the fastest-selling ASMALLWORLD events of the year took place at the prestigious New York Film Festival, where members gathered for an exclusive screening of Jay Kelly, followed by an intimate Q&A with its director and cast - including George Clooney himself.

“George Clooney rarely does events like this - intimate, unscripted conversations in front of a small audience. When the opportunity came up, we knew it would resonate with our members - and it certainly did!”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

The Q&A turned an already prestigious festival screening into a rare in-person event, offering members in-depth insight and access to Clooney as he discussed a performance which many regard as a career highlight.

Clooney plays an ageing fictional movie star confronting his past choices and legacy, and he spoke candidly about the role, but the discussion ranged far beyond the film itself. He reflected openly on his own career trajectory, the complexities of fame, the realities of family life in the public eye, in addition to the broader narratives of the film.

For members in attendance, it was a rare opportunity to witness one of Hollywood's most compelling figures engage in conversation that was refreshingly thoughtful, revealing and genuine.

For those who missed the event but still wish to view the film itself, Jay Kelly is now streaming on Netflix.

Winter Weekend 2025, St. Moritz

Just weeks ago, St. Moritz played host to the 13th edition of ASMALLWORLD Winter Weekend, bringing together members from around the world for this flagship weekend - the most cherished gathering of the ASW events calendar.

“Winter Weekend takes months of preparation, as every detail is considered from programme activities, to the decoration and the contents of the menu - the result is an experience where our members arrive knowing they’re in good hands, so they can simply enjoy themselves surrounded by people who appreciate the same things they do.”
― Brunilde Le Jossec, ASMALLWORLD Head of Experiences

The evening commenced with cocktails at Suvretta House, the Grande Dame nestled in the stunning Engadin mountains. As the cheerful clinking of champagne flutes and warm greetings filled the air, the unmistakable buzz of anticipation grew, as something extraordinary was about to begin.

Guests then descended upon Billionaire St. Moritz - the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski's glittering newcomer that has already rewritten the rules of alpine nightlife. Known for bringing a level of spectacle typically seen in places like Dubai and Monaco, Billionaire offers an experience rarely encountered at such an altitude.

Here, dinner is a feast for the senses, acrobats suspended from the ceiling, live music plays, dancers weave between tables as delicious gourmet courses are served - it’s a feast for the senses in every possible way. The energy continues to build until it's almost electric and the room surrenders to the dancefloor, and the after-party stretches well into the early hours. It was the perfect opening act.

Saturday welcomed guests with an ascent into the Alps, taking Suvretta House's private ski lift to Trutz, a mountaintop restaurant reserved entirely for Winter Weekend guests. Guests were treated to bubbling fondue, live music and sweeping views of Lake Silvaplana in the valley below, while snowcapped mountain peaks sparkled against the cloudless sky - a scene that no photo could do justice.

That evening brought the blacktie ASW Foundation Gala Dinner, transforming Suvretta House's grand ballroom into a scene of elegant, candlelit philanthropy over gourmet food. This year’s beneficiary, Make-A-Wish Switzerland & Liechtenstein, was honoured through a tableside prize auction, where guests bid for prizes generously donated by sponsors and even some particularly charitable guests!

When dinner drew to a close, the night continued to the crescendo of Winter Weekend at Dracula Club, one of St. Moritz's most exclusive member clubs - for a very late night best experienced, rather than described!

Sunday morning arrived with a generous breakfast buffet at Suvretta House, where guests gathered to swap stories with knowing smiles and infectious chuckles.

For those who were there, it was everything they'd hoped for. For those who missed it, the recently published photo gallery offers a glimpse into why Winter Weekend remains the crown jewel of the ASMALLWORLD calendar.
