An ultra-elegant hotspot on the iconic Sunset Strip, The West Hollywood EDITION is LA at its finest. Never mind the fact that the property was once home to a humble gas station – it’s now a fashionable destination unto itself that draws everyone from well-heeled jetsetters to Hollywood elite. Needless to say, the social scene found at EDITION is top-notch.

Everything about the hotel drips designer; every detail seems to fit flawlessly in with the next, though the overall effect feels effortless. Sleek lines characterise the hotel’s sophisticated minimalist allure, and the guestrooms are no exception. There are 190 guestrooms, 48 suites and two penthouses – the latter of which come with expansive outdoor terraces – and all accommodations, even at entry-level, feel pleasantly roomy. Within, these generously sized spaces are positively flooded with natural light thanks to the rooms’ full-wall windows. The colour palette is attractively restrained, utilising neutral shades of cream and sand to create a soothing yet inviting vibe. Bathrooms continue the rooms’ aesthetic in both size and style, and we especially like the large freestanding tubs.

Wherever you choose to drink or dine, be sure to dress your best – every venue in the hotel is a glittering place to see and be seen. The hotel’s main restaurant, Ardor, has a divine and primarily plant-based menu (though there are a handful of delicious meat options as well), made even better by the restaurant’s dark, moody ambience and attractive outdoor patio. The Roof – which is located exactly where you’d expect – is a great place to kick off the evening with a cocktail and some mingling with the hotel’s fashionable crowd. Later, head to the hotel’s nightclub Sunset to dance until the early hours of the morning

To recover from an evening of nightlife, pay a visit to the hotel’s spa. Simply designed and beautifully minimalist, the spa is a perfectly tranquil place to pamper and rejuvenate. If you’d rather detox by working up a sweat, the hotel's crisp, state-of-the-art fitness centre is open 24 hours a day. There’s also the rooftop pool, which – in addition to being large enough for laps – is flanked by cushy loungers and has mesmerizing views of the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills and the LA city skyline.
