The first hotel to be built on the Long Bay Beach area of Providenciales, The Shore Club Turks & Caicos has set high standards for the region. Bringing bags of effortless, relaxed style and a sense of chic, exclusive seclusion to a fantastic beach location, this hotel is making itself known despite its relatively new positioning on the Turks and Caicos' luxury hotel scene.

And yet, despite the aura of remoteness afforded by the unspoilt Long Beach Bay, the hotel remains wonderfully convenient, being just a five-minute drive from Grace Bay and fifteen minutes from Providenciales International Airport.

The hotel itself is gorgeously styled with the gleaming whites of neo-colonial stylings beautifully offset against the gorgeous blue ocean just steps away. The colour scheme continues inside, everywhere you look, with a dash of pastel hues here and there. Across the board, the interior design is exquisite, with wonderfully curated and locally sourced furnishings alongside modern artwork dispelling any sense of corporate design. The effect delivers an air of a freshly styled home. The suites are incredibly spacious even in the lowest category, with king-sized beds, marble bathrooms and either a private terrace or a balcony.

The six villas take the word luxury to new heights; they enjoy over 8000 square feet of space with private courtyards, pools, housekeepers and personal concierge services. Private butlers and chefs are optional. And, of course, all have panoramic ocean views.

The property continues to make its mark with an excellent selection of dining options. Sea Grapes is a wonderful, casual lounge setting around a relaxing fire pit serving Caribbean favourites, while Colonnade offers elegant al-fresco dining if you're seeking the staples of Turks & Caicos cuisine. But of the three options, Sui Ren is unmissable, being the first Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Turks and Caicos. Breakfast is served at Almond Tree, where you can sip a fresh smoothie or a mimosa while enjoying healthy and island-inspired options. Return in the evening for innovative comfort food, fine spirits and live music on select nights.

For drinks, the Rope bar is an elegantly funky setting with an avant-garde-meets-nautical theme that's ideal for evening cocktails, while the Courtyard Bar has a relaxed, amiable atmosphere for those chilled-out afternoons.

While bliss and relaxation might be the watchwords here, there's a veritable bevvy of activities and amenities available. The Dune Spa offers unique, holistic treatments inspired by the local area, while activities include watersports, tennis, four outdoor pools, a fitness centre, yoga studios and even a private yacht.

The resort is excellent for families, thanks to its range of activities, fantastic beach access and on-site kids’ club.
