We especially liked the Outdoor Gardenview Fireplace Rooms which, with a personal gas firepit on the balcony, ensure that even on a cool night you can still enjoy the ocean view. Although well-appointed with comfortable beds, marble bathrooms and Asprey bath amenities, some of the entry level rooms are showing their age, so you may be more comfortable with a higher-end choice.

Of course, the club floor packs a punch if you enjoy higher levels of attention and a glass of Californian red or white and a snack in the evenings. The dedicated concierge team makes everything seems effortless, even if your request is decidedly demanding.

The resort has two full-service restaurants, Raya with its Pan Latin cuisine and sweeping ocean views and enoSTEAK, an elegant steakhouse with its impressive, decadent wine collection. There are other places to have a light meal as well, including poolside and down on the beach, and it’s worth stopping into Bar Raya for a drink, pre or post dinner.

This being California, the spa and the gym with its floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the beach are pretty fabulous, and the resort has access to several golf courses in the vicinity.

While harmless spelling mistakes are inevitable and don't require any action from us, we do ask members to write properly. Avoid attempts to draw attention to your post by using unnecessary punctuation, symbols, spacing, excessive capital letters or a misleading title.
