We love the neighbourhood. The hotel is directly alongside Madison Square Park, and the Flatiron District in NoMad (short for North of Madison Square Park) has many attractions, including the legendary Gramercy Theater and the iconic building that shares the district’s name.

When it comes to decor, the hotel interiors are stunning – sleek and minimalist throughout the property – and with a striking, modern spiral staircase in the lobby. Rooms, lofts and suites are sleek and chic, with soft shades of beige and cream used in all the fabrics and drapes; the light-toned wooden furniture blends in harmoniously. Each room features custom-imported linens and a stone bathroom with a rainforest shower, as well as Edition’s signature scent of Le Labo Bath Amenities.

Dine at the awe-inspiring Clocktower Restaurant (helmed by Michelin-starred British chef Jason Atherton), which is unforgettable with vintage photographs everywhere you look. After your meal, there’s a billiards room here to enjoy. The Clocktower Bar is a special spot, where you can enjoy a cheese plate and a glass of wine – or something a bit more hearty, like the dry-aged beef sliders. The Lobby Bar is a place to see and be seen, and it has a 30-foot blackened steel fireplace for cosying up to on chilly days and nights. You can start your morning here with a wide array of breakfast options (including a full English), have a casual lunch, or stop by in the evening for a New York-inspired cocktail.

There’s a small gym and an even smaller spa here on the property, and while the gym is open 24 hours, we suggest you slip into your trainers and go for a walk or a run in and around the park. It’s not nearly as big as Central Park, but it’s a great way to get to know the neighbourhood.
