Many, such as the Anthurium Pool Suites, have a private plunge pool, while Luxury Almond Suites and Royal Collection Pool Suites come with larger pools. For those without a private pool, there’s the resort’s tropical swimming pool where you can pull up a daybed and chill out, while complimentary water sports include Hobie-cats, snorkelling and kayaking. There is tennis and cycling too. If you’d prefer, there are PADI certified diving lessons available for both beginners and advanced divers, and the resort can arrange excursions to the rainforest or the Saturday market as well as private yacht trips.
You may opt to relax at the Janissa Spa, regarded as one of the Caribbean’s best. Many of the treatments combine local produce, including nutmeg, organic chocolate, seaweed, aloe, coconut and lemon. There are hair services, too, and a beachside yoga pavilion for practising your sun salutations. And if you are staying with the kids, the ‘Nutmeg Pod’ offers a supervised play area and a weekly schedule of fun activities for little ones aged 3 to 12.
When it comes to dining, Oliver's Restaurant, located beside the sea, serves up Creole and international cuisine, while Sea & Surf Terrace Restaurant (the one most suited to families) offers international delights. Don’t miss the incredible Sunday Barbecue lunch buffet or the Friday Night buffet – they’re a great way to try a little bit of everything.
