Enveloped by the richness of Istanbul’s Old Town, Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel is a sumptuous getaway in a magical, historic location. The neoclassical building that the hotel calls home dates back to 1895, and extensive restorations have preserved the façade’s original grandeur while ushering in a new age of contemporary luxury.

Beyond the light-filled, chandelier-adorned atrium, 51 guestrooms and an additional 12 suites await. The atmosphere within is both timeless and chic, with an interior design scheme that represents a seamless merging of both Eastern and Western influences. Visually, the spaces are a study in contrast: pale shades of white, taupe and turquoise are emboldened by dark charcoal drapes and glossy black furnishings. Mirrored and metallic accents lend a further contemporary edge, while details like marble tops and oversized headboards fashioned out of beautifully patterned fabric panels infuse the spaces with old-world elegance.

The hotel’s polished, sophisticated ambience continues into its two drinking and dining venues: Sini Restaurant and The Library Bar. Sini is a fine dining affair where guests enjoy regional flavours in elevated, contemporary iterations. A mouthwatering menu features dishes like open mussel dolma with wine leaves tempura, duck ‘Keskek’ arancini with miso aioli and zeytinyagli rezene (braised fennel with olive oil), and the venue has a robust wine list as well.
