Fashionistas could not ask for a better location either – the hotel is directly connected to The Galleria, Abu Dhabi’s enviable shopping mall that boasts a plethora of designer boutiques and upscale restaurants. Back at the hotel, indulgent treatments await at Rosewood’s Sense Spa – have a Jewel of Arabia Sense Journey or a Diamond Facial to truly feel like royalty. Nearby, you’ll find a bright and well-equipped fitness centre that remains open 24 hours a day.
If you’d rather stick around, you’ll have eight restaurants and lounges to choose from. Dine indoors or out at the international Aqua, which is open all day. You’ll find a buffet breakfast in the morning, which is comprehensive enough but admittedly a bit underwhelming. Do go at least once, though, as the views alone are worth it. The street food-inspired Dai Pai Dong is excellent and hosts a number of fun meals like Friday Hot Pot Brunch and all-you-can-eat dim sum (if you dare).
If you come across a teapot whilst exploring the hotel, venture past it. There’s a tea room beyond where you’ll find Dragon’s Booth: a speakeasy inspired by the 1920s Shanghai jazz scene. Brass ceilings and antiques can be found within the delightfully secretive bar, along with a great assortment of cocktails. The underground wine cellar, La Cava, is also a must-visit; trying to make selections from over 1000 labels is overwhelming in the best of ways.
