The resort has just 48 rooms, suites and villas, all of which share this decadent yet restrained aesthetic. Indeed, they are stunning in their simplicity, with limestone floors, full-wall windows that open to let the outdoors in and a subtly sophisticated colour scheme of beige, taupe and cocoa. Bathrooms continue the natural-luxe theme with plentiful use of organic materials: slate, granite, bamboo and so on. Private terraces can be found in all accommodations and villas have private pools.
There are two options for dining at the resort. Café Nikki serves breakfast each morning, an ample spread of everything from American-style comfort food to local Thai dishes and fresh-baked pastries. The renowned Nikki Beach Club is a hub of global glamour with a reputation to match. An international menu highlights the food of the land (ordering seafood is a must), and the people-watching is unmatched – be sure to come looking your best.
Naturally, an island stay should come with a heavy dose of relaxation, and you’ll find plenty of ways to indulge at the resort. There are two swimming pools – one of which is 75 metres long and perfect for laps – a posh private beach, 24-hour gym and a glamorous spa in which you can get a massage while listening to the sounds of the ocean. Bliss.
