The Cipriani family is a legendary name in the luxury hospitality world, thanks most especially to their beloved Mr. C concept hotels. One such hotel now graces Miami; opened in May 2019, Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove became an instant icon thanks to its striking architecture, swanky interiors and prime South Florida location – stellar views of Biscayne Bay included.

The award-winning architecture firm Arquitectonica is responsible for the hotel’s immediately recognisable exteriors, while Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is to thank for the glamour found within. The hotel's four floors contain a total of 100 guest rooms and suites, each of which – impressively – features its own private balcony overlooking the bay. For this reason alone, we recommend booking a room on the third or fourth floor – that is where you’ll find the choicest views. The accommodations’ interior design scheme is attractive as can be and continues the elegant nautical theme found elsewhere throughout the hotel. We love that the rooms don’t shy away from colour; many of the rooms and suites are set predominantly in magnificent shades of blue. Across the board, you can expect indulgently comfortable spaces with an elevated residential feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the spaces with natural light, and we particularly love those options that come with enormous porthole windows. Glossy wood lends to the space a distinctly polished feel, and spacious bathrooms are resplendent with marble and royal blue tiling.

Bellini is the hotel’s signature restaurant, the likes of which can also be found in the brand’s New York City location. An authentic Italian restaurant with an elegant ambience and rustic fare, this spot is a celebration of the flavours of Italy and also boasts an inviting bar. Il Giardino is another option for a drink and a bite; begin the day here with sweet or savoury crepes for breakfast, and come back later for a cocktail or pastry. Guests also have the option to dine poolside whilst enjoying the sun and the gorgeous, panoramic views.

Mr. C’s glamorous rooftop pool is a definite perk, whether you visit to get in a swimming workout or just to enjoy some sunbathing. The hotel also has a boutique fitness centre which is small but well-equipped and remains open 24 hours a day.
