Housed in the iconic Wasl Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, the hotel’s debut marks the Mandarin Oriental brand’s second foray into Dubai. Offering a more cosmopolitan stay than the beachfront Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, this will be the hotel of choice for guests seeking a refined urban retreat in the midst of Dubai’s most dynamic district.

The hotel’s reception is located on the tower’s 36th floor; beyond are 259 rooms and suites. Accommodations are inspired by Dubai’s iconic skyline, which can be viewed in all its glory from much of the hotel. Rooms encapsulate the brand’s trademark refinement, and each is an elegant sanctuary elevated by those breathtaking views. All rooms are generously sized, with even the entry-level options beginning at a spacious 52 square metres. Parquet oak wood floors are complemented by luxe oversized headboards, velvet benches, pale sage rugs underfoot and marble accents. Painstaking attention to detail is evident throughout, from the carefully curated objets d’art and pristine potted orchids to modcons like Nespresso machines and yoga mats that can be found in every room.

The hotel features two contrasting options for food and drink: one Chinese and one Italian. Inspired by 1960s Hong Kong, the cheekily named Yù & Mì is a contemporary restaurant and bar with a secretive feel.
