Exclusively available to guests 18 and older, this boutique hotel has just eight suites, creating an intimate atmosphere with personalised service and true tranquillity. With its picturesque mountaintop location overlooking Marino Ballena National Park and incredible artwork inspired by local Borucan culture, this eco-friendly resort is truly one-of-a-kind. Despite the lovely feeling of seclusion, the village of Uvita is just a 20-minute drive away, offering easy access to charming local restaurants, picturesque hiking trails and outdoor adventures you can book directly through Kura.

Each of the eight luxury suites invites you to take in panoramic rainforest and ocean views from the double hammock on your private terrace. Junior Suites put you right up in the canopy among the tropical birds, but every style of accommodation here includes massive floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the stunning scenery. The Deluxe Suites and Master Suites come with a private infinity plunge pool, with the Master Suite offering nearly twice as much space to stretch out in as the other suite options.

Responsibly-sourced organic ingredients make up the menus here, from fresh catches straight from local fishers to greens grown in the on-site garden. The chefs ensure there’s something for everyone by creating diverse menus that include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-friendly options. The rooftop bar is the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail while watching the sunset or taking in the endless starry sky.

While most guests find it hard to leave the beautiful resort, a complimentary shuttle is offered to and from the beach daily. Be sure to plan some time on the water during the seasonal humpback whale migration, and take advantage of kayaking and paddleboarding equipment to do a bit of exploring along the coastline.
