Set in a 26-story building designed to resemble a cresting wave, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel impresses from the get-go. Eye-catching though it may be, this hotel’s sweeping architecture is really just the beginning of its appeal: stellar views, ample dining options and a vast array of amenities make this getaway popular with couples and families alike.

Opened in 1997, Jumeirah Beach Hotel was one of the first big players in Dubai’s waterside hospitality scene. It retains all the appeal of its early days thanks to meticulous upkeep and renovations over the years. Within, there are a total of 618 accommodations encompassing rooms, suites and villas, all of which (impressively) have views of the water and Burj Khalifa. Rooms themselves forsake the stereotypical beachfront aesthetic in favour of a more elevated, sophisticated design – though homage is still paid to the watery world beyond the windows by way of tasteful, nautical-hued accents here and there. Calm neutrals and alluring ambient lighting set the stage, complemented by potted orchids, elegantly simple furnishings and accents of marble and blonde wood. Bathrooms feel indulgent and views are spellbinding – spring for a room with a balcony to make the most of those incredible vistas.

The gastronomy scene at the hotel caters to a wide range of occasions, inclinations and taste buds – even the pickiest of eaters is bound to find something that delights them. Begin your day with breakfast at the creative, family-friendly Kitchen Connection, or for something a little bit more sophisticated, try the elegant Pearl Lounge.
