Like many of the configurations at Madinat Jumeirah, they come in pods of two which can be sectioned off if you need to, a great solution as then all rooms are adequately soundproofed. Rooms are open plan with a huge bathroom which incorporates a spacious dressing area within. All of the rooms face the water, have balconies, with the higher floors boasting a better view. It’s worth upgrading to the Ocean Terrace level, suites in fact, as you’ll get the Lounge benefits included as well as access to the pretty fab Summersalt Beach Club.
Because there are so many great F&B outlets, bars, outside spaces, pools and the beachfront, guests staying in all the 428 rooms (43 are suites) have places to go, even if they don’t choose to explore the neighbouring hotels and their facilities or the Madinat Souk (which has seen better days).
This hotel, like the others in Madinat Jumeirah, has access to the superb Talise Spa and the massive health and lifestyle club, plus tennis courts. There are five swimming pools here, one that’s adult-only with a tiki bar alongside. A clever design, the kids’ club is located very near the adult zone, so parents can enjoy themselves knowing their kids are safe and having fun just steps away. There’s a lot here for kids of all ages, and besides the usual attractions, there’s a marvellous turtle rehabilitation lagoon.
