Set some seventy kilometres outside of Melbourne, Jackalope’s surroundings are picture-perfect countryside landscapes – which makes the hotel itself stand out all the more. Dark charcoal exteriors and bold blocky architecture contrast sharply against the lush green landscape, and the buildings represent a fanciful, modernist take on traditional agricultural structures. Guestrooms – which the hotel lovingly refers to as ‘Lairs’ – are even more intriguing.
