Your room will overlook either the courtyard or the Amstel River; for the most quintessential experience, we recommend choosing a room with the latter.
The buffet breakfast laid out each morning is a lavish affair that perfectly suits the opulence of the hotel. For the day’s later meals at Amstel Restaurant, you can opt to sit indoors or out; if the weather's nice, eat on the terrace just a breath away from the waters of the canal. The restaurant’s menu is decidedly international, albeit with a delightful dose of Dutch flair (the seafood dishes are particularly good). Also, just a stone's throw from the water is the terrace of the Amstel Bar, which serves fabulous cocktails alongside an impressive wine list.
