Inside the boutique hotel, the signature blue hues and nautical touches have been brought firmly up to date by renowned interior designer Michele Bonan and echo the waterside surrounds, while transporting you back to the Renaissance in style. There is something inspiring to see throughout all of the corridors and rooms, most notably exhibits from the hotel’s art collection which comprises over 450 pieces of original fine art including works by Picasso, Cocteau, Bueno and Italian artists such as Cassinari, Guidi, Fusi and Morlotti. Some guest rooms are dedicated to the work of a specific and unique artist, such as the Venna or Francesconi suite.

The suite consists of two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, divided by a common living room featuring a balcony overlooking Palazzo Pitti and the Florentine Oltrarno. On the 8th floor, you will find a large and luminous space dedicated to the works of the painter of Italian realism, Orfeo Tamburi. Upstairs, accessed by a private staircase there is a main room dedicated to the abstract, vivacious designs of Luciano Schifano. The room elegantly boasts a large panoramic terrace, perfect for private events and dinners featuring Florence’s open-air beauty as its background.
