La Belle Époque, the hotel’s restaurant, is a love letter to classic French cuisine set in a grand, high-ceilinged dining room. There, time-honoured French dishes are reimagined with locally sourced ingredients, resulting in plates such as smoked salmon heart with Isigny cream, crispy veal sweetbreads with Grenobloise sauce and a generous selection of seafood. The dessert menu is delightfully classic: try the tiramisu while you’re there. Nearby, Le Bar du Normandy channels the sophistication of an English-style club, with plush furnishings, mahogany woodwork, a grand piano and a crackling fireplace. The setting pays homage to legendary hotel regulars, including Coco Chanel, Winston Churchill and Claude Lelouch. Should you crave something beyond the hotel’s two restaurants, a number of other Groupe Barrière venues are within easy reach. Ciro’s Deauville, an elegant seafood spot on the boardwalk, is a standout, though if you’d like more casual boardwalk dining, Le Bar de la Mer has a fun, experiential foodie vibe.
