Gstaad has 53 cable cars and over 220 kilometres of ski slopes, sledge runs and snow parks to keep winter sports lovers entertained non-stop. And when you’re not out and about, the hotel’s spa is a great place to pass an hour or two. Swim a few laps in the indoor pool (heated to 29C), chill out in the sauna or steam bath, or indulge in the hotel’s hammam ritual.
Opened in 1913 and owned by the Scherz family since 1947, the hotel has a fascinating history. During World War II, a two-storey bunker was built on the premises and used by the Swiss government to hide gold reserves. Classic Junior Suite
"La dolce far niente" is the motto of our Classic Junior Suites. They boast an inviting lounge, where you can simply do nothing in a relaxed atmosphere, whether it's reading, playing games, sketching - whatever you want. Enjoy wellness within your own four holiday walls in the luxurous bathroom with a bathtub and shower. And the view from the window towards Schönried could not be more stunning.
Treat yourself to some time-out: This spacious room is furnished in a modern, alpine style with loving attention to detail. The bathroom has a comfortable tub where you can enjoy a good soak. It is also worth taking a look out of the window - the rooms afford views of the charming chalet landscape around us.
We guarantee you won't get cabin fever here ... The traditional wooden ceiling elements are the hallmark of our Corner Suite Mountain View. They are accentuated by walls in natural colours. The suite is spread over two rooms. The bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and the large living room with a lounge and dining area each have their own balcony with views of the mountains around Gstaad and the village itself. The main attraction of this suite is the bathroom with a steam bath.

Small but absolutely exquisite: the lovingly decorated double rooms have a bathroom with bath. The furniture and materials ensure a unique, authentic character. They offer restricted views over the Palace hill.

Small is beautiful: That's definitely true in this double room. It's almost like having your own chalet, furnished with loving attention to detail, with a bathroom and bathtub. Discreet furnishings and elegant materials lend it a unique, authentic flair in the typical alpine style. The room is north-facing with views of Rellerli Mountain and the Fribourg region.
Deluxe Junior Suite Mountain View

It's a sight to behold: The view from the balcony over the garden to the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Bernese Oberland region is wonderful. Our bedrooms are lovingly designed in a choice of three colour schemes. As well as a cosy corner lounge, they have a bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. Some even have a walk-in wardrobe - which will delight fashionistas! There is also a pull-out sofa bed and/or space for an additional bed.
Deluxe Suite Mountain View
Dashes of red and pink mixed with antique pine make this suite stand out and gives it a warm, inviting ambience. Embroidered textiles, hand-painted furniture and home accessories create an aura of elegance and rustic comfort. Fashionistas can spend hours in front of the mirror in the walk-in wardrobe. And the picturebook panoramic views of the Saanenland mountains are wonderful at any time of day, in summer or winter.

The wrap-around terrace means you get the sun all day with views of the entire Saanenland region. The sauna in the turret and the hot tub on the terrace are all yours.
