The aptly named RIVERBANK Restaurant is a true delight, and not just because of the unbeatable river views. The elegant restaurant’s superb menu features internationally inspired gourmet dishes dreamt up by decorated chef Jaroslav Žídek. The smart-casual dining room feels upscale but approachable, and breakfast on the outdoor terrace, in particular, is a delight. For a pre-or post-prandial libation, you’ll have the lobby bar and the hotel’s classy wine cellar to choose from; the latter holds the distinction of being the biggest hotel wine cellar in Slovakia.

On the hotel’s highest floor, you’ll find the fitness centre, which is bright, sleek and impressively well-equipped. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the river and surrounding land, and more of those wonderful vistas can be found from the ultra-contemporary indoor swimming pool, which comes with hydromassage features, bubble loungers and a Jacuzzi to boot. Zion Spa Luxury is the hotel’s one-stop spot for everything indulgent, whether that means a mani-pedi, a deep tissue massage or a trip to the infra sauna.
