Fairmont Orchid’s property sprawls over 32 beautiful oceanfront acres which are resplendent with a pristine white sand beach, lush greenery and pretty waterfalls – in other words, the very image of an island paradise. Set within those verdant acres are 540 guestrooms and suites. Many accommodations have views of the ocean and some lucky ones are set on the oceanfront itself; these are certainly preferable to those rooms that look out at the gardens, but you can’t really go wrong either way. The poolside Hale Kai Restaurant is a lovely spot for a refreshing lunch, as is Luana Lounge if you’re in the mood for something light. For dinner, make a reservation at the lovely Brown’s Beach House for a fine dining meal and spectacular sunset views, or visit Binchotan Bar & Grill for some fantastic traditional Japanese robatayaki.
