About the hotel
"A countryside estate set on 1,500 beautiful acres, Château de Berne boasts gorgeous guestrooms, Michelin-starred dining and a stunning vineyard."

Accommodations at Berne are divided into rooms, suites, villas and a ten thousand square-metre private chateau. All are utterly sublime, done up in the same charming, rustic-chic ambience that characterises the property at large. Interiors feel luxurious without being overdone, and the distinctly Provençal spaces are airy, colourful and full of understated elegance. Suites up the luxury factor, and the property’s Private Villas do so to an even greater degree; there are currently two of these such options, with a third villa in the works. Shaded by olive groves and enveloped in nature, The Maison Fito Villa is peaceful and stunning, while Villa Jasso is a wonderful option for families. For the most special of occasions, the seven-bedroom, seven-bath private chateau can accommodate up to twenty guests and boasts its own movie room, swimming pool (with pool house) and two gardens.
Fine dining is at the heart of the property’s culinary scene, which is an ode to the best of countryside dining. Locavore cuisine highlights everything local and lovely, from ingredients grown in the property’s own gardens to the bounty of local farmers. The Michelin-starred restaurant Le Jardin de Berne (which also boasts a Michelin Sustainable Gastronomy Green Star) is the undisputed highlight of the eateries, in which Chefs Eric Raynal and Louis Rameau take guests on a flavourful journey ‘from the soil to the soul’. Set in a white-tablecloth dining room that fuses refined sophistication with natural whimsy, this is memorable for truly inspired cuisine. While Le Jardin de Berne is certainly hard to beat, there are a number of other marvellous eateries as well. La Terrasse de Berne is a convivial, alfresco tribute to the flavours of Provence that gazes out over the property’s vineyards, while Le Bistrot is a friendly, vibrant spot to share a meal with loved ones. When you’re in the mood for a drink, you’ll find a dandy-style bar inside as well as a second out by the pool. Those looking to get a little more hands-on with their culinary journey should pay a visit to the property’s cooking school, where guests can get an interactive experience with the chateau’s food and wine.

Villa Des Gomberts
-
450 m² / 4,844 ft²
-
King bed
-
Various views
The name 'Gomberts' is a tribute to the former owner of the land, a former Duke of Provence. The word "mas", on the other hand, has Provençal origins. At the time, the mas was used as a dwelling, but also as an agricultural building used for growing wheat, fruit and vegetables, and for rearing farmyard animals.
With this in mind, this rural building has been completely restored, retaining its charm thanks to its stone façade and perfectly landscaping its exterior with an olive grove, a vegetable garden and a field of lavender, so typical of Provence. An exceptional home that promises a return to its roots and a reconnection with nature.Lowest rate

Villa Vanado
-
405 m² / 4,359 ft²
-
King bed
-
Various views
This old building has been completely transformed into a traditional Provencal bastide. At the time, the bastide was a secondary residence for the bourgeoisie and nobility. The basic codes and architecture have been preserved, notably the shape of the house with a single storey and a 4-pitched roof, an odd number of windows on the main façade, French windows on the ground floor and external courtyards.
The name Vanado, in Provençal, means the enclosure in front of the sheepfold, an area that was once dedicated to the animals. A nod to Provence, but also to the many animals that populated and still populate the Château de Berne estate.
