Horseback riding, helicopter tours and sailing are all organised through the hotel, and a five-minute drive will get you to Canyamel Beach where guests have complimentary access to facilities at the Cap Vermell Beach Hotel. Venture a little further by foot to explore the island’s many coves, dunes and wildlife preservation areas. Golfers will be pleased to know that there are four courses within a 6-mile radius of the hotel, and the hotel runs a free shuttle service to all of them.
After a day spent exploring (or relaxing), visit the Serenitas Spa for a facial or unique ritual experience – treatments there utilise the natural minerals and herbs from the island, and a salon offers mani-pedis as well.
Opt for either the 15-course or 20-course tasting menu at the two-Michelin-starred VORO restaurant. The restaurant keeps the menu seasonal and ever-changing – even if you visit regularly, it’s unlikely that you’ll have the same dish twice. Do note that while the hotel welcomes children, VORO is adults-only. The Balearic restaurant emphasizes farm-to-table ingredients in its traditional Majorcan cuisine and has a fantastic assortment of seafood. Breakfast is prepared in an open kitchen and served on the tri-level poolside terrace with city views or in a traditional Majorcan building. Don’t miss the fresh Mediterranean cuisine served for lunch at Ses Oliveres and be sure to start or end your evening with a cocktail and light bite on the terrace of Tapas Bar – which serves exactly what you’d expect.
