Baoase Luxury Resort
About the hotel
"An ultra-exclusive escape with just 23 accommodations, The Baoase Luxury Resort Curaçao boasts impressive lodgings, a beach restaurant and myriad opportunities for adventures outdoors."
This ultra-exclusive resort has just 23 rooms, suites and villas, so right from the get-go, you can expect to feel like you’re on your own private island. It helps that the resort is a bit removed from any main tourist areas; if you want to feel a world away, it will suit you nicely, but if being within walking distance of town is a dealbreaker for you, you may want to look elsewhere.
Though you won’t find entertainment in the immediate area surrounding Baoase, it’s hardly missed; everything you need to restore and invigorate the mind, body and soul can be found at the resort itself, beginning with the indulgent accommodations. Though you won’t find entertainment in the immediate area surrounding Baoase, it’s hardly missed; everything you need to restore and invigorate the mind, body and soul can be found at the resort itself, beginning with the indulgent accommodations. These begin grand and only get more magnificent, whether you stay in an entry-level room or book the spectacular Isla Kiniw Private Island. Wherever you choose to stay, expect to be impressed. Within, vaulted ceilings create an immediate sense of grandeur which is further heightened by elegant interior design, regional artwork and a sophisticated, calming colour palette. Private outdoor areas – some of which have pools – are the cherry on top of these romantic spaces, and if you’re staying in a villa, you can expect nothing less than your own private paradise.
Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant is located at the heart of the resort and is a delightful toes-in-the-sand spot for all meals of the day. There, superb French cuisine gets an island makeover by channelling regional influences as well as Asian flavours. Live music in the evenings creates a convivial atmosphere, and for special occasions, you can book a romantic private gazebo. True to its name, the Sunset Deck offers lovely views as you enjoy a different style of cuisine each evening.
There’s no shortage of ways to fill your time at the resort, whether you want to fill every hour or keep your itinerary open for pure relaxation. A tranquil spa will see to it that you remain perfectly pampered throughout your stay, while a charming boutique will keep you dressed to impress. The Baoase Gym is reasonably well equipped, though it seems almost a shame to work out indoors given the natural wonderland outside. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to stay active outdoors: hiking, learning to scuba dive or going on a snorkel safari, to name just a few.
