Choosing a room is very straightforward, as you’ll pick the size of the bed you want and a courtyard or a runway view. Sparsely decorated, the only colour comes in the form of a navy-blue upholstered bench at the end of the bed – somewhat bland by Indian standards, but nevertheless crisp, clean and well-appointed. Bathrooms all have walk-in showers and every room comes with international plug options and a Nespresso machine. What we love most is that every room is fitted with a built-in sofa under the room’s vast window and a coffee table alongside. Go for the runway view to maximise this feature.
Dining here is a big wow, starting with AnnaMaya, open for all meals of the day, whose decor is as colourful as the healthy, Indian choices on the menu are – too much to choose from. There’s the convivial Soul Pantry for a casual meal of flatbreads and salads, but the star of the show is the two-storied dynamic The Hong Kong Club. With a seating capacity of nearly 300 and a bar in the central section serving killer cocktails while the DJ spins his mix, go veg or non-veg and then watch the chefs as they prepare it all (if you can see them, that is). The dim sum is legendary, so book early.
