Grampians Grape Escape, Australia

May 2-3, 2020

Wine, food and music come together at what is now one of the longest running food and wine festivals in Australia. The popular event champions the gastronomic makers and producers of the rugged region. Against a backdrop of one of Australia’s areas of great natural beauty, activities and events from master classes and cooking demonstrations to countless tastings introduce you to the wines, spirits and gastronomy of Western Victoria. Add to this, the entertainment of local and national live bands.

Noosa Eat and Drink Festival, Australia

May 14-17, 2020

Get to know the food and drink of Australia’s Sunshine Coast at this vibrant oceanfront festival. Tastings, cooking-demonstrations and master classes take place in the Festival Village and the food of local restaurants is championed at Taste of Noosa. This event gives you the chance to follow food trails, dine with celebrity chefs, watch live music and join the revelry of beachfront parties. Enjoy a seafood lunch at Noosa Heads, tuck into a Middle Eastern feast on Peregian Beach and join a Slow Food Noosa trail in Hinterland. From Beluga vodka and caviar appreciation to rosé brunches and oyster shucking, there’s something for every palate.

Viti Loire, France

June 6-7, 2020

Each year, Viti Loire is held in the city of Tours to shine a light on the wine of the region, France’s Loire Valley. Home to more than 70 AOC wines, this is one of the country’s premier winemaking regions. More than 150 wine producers take part in the event, with bars set up to raise awareness of the region’s most traditional wines, along with cooking demonstrations by top chefs and crafts markets. Exploration of the area is encouraged with walking and cycling tours taking in the wineries of the area. The town is often seen as a gateway to exploring the chateaux of the region.

Food & Wine Classic in Aspen

June 19-21, 2020

Join celebrity chefs, renowned winemakers and epicurean insiders at this major culinary event in Aspen. Cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and panel discussions by top chefs and wine experts take place over three days, with the additional Food & Wine Best New Chefs tasting experience also happening on the Saturday. Visitors can sign up for three cooking demonstrations and/or wine seminars each day they’re at the festival, with countless tasting opportunities in-between. 2020 will mark the food and wine festival’s 38th year.

International Pinot Noir Celebration, Oregon

July 24-26, 2020

This three-day event is the global go-to for Pinot noir enthusiasts. Now in its 34th year, this annual celebration offers an irresistible immersion into viticulture and the culinary identity of Oregon wine country, with world-renowned winemakers, chefs and epicures coming together in the name of gastronomy. Expect vineyard tours and alfresco tastings, outdoor lunches and dinners under the stars and the annual Passport to Pinot outdoor tasting event showcasing Pinot noir from over 70 wineries worldwide. Stay nearby at one of the vineyard inns or hotels.

Calici di Stelle, Italy

August 10, 2020

Coinciding with the night of San Lorenzo, which takes place across Italy on August 10th, Calici di Stelle marks the peak of the annual Perseids meteor shower. Over the days surrounding this celestial event each year, Movimento Turismo del Vino (the Tuscany Wine Tourism Movement) and Città del Vino collaborate in hosting a celebration of the local wine. Cellars and towns across Tuscany put on a series of shows, concerts and expert-led stargazing activities for visitors, along with special tastings and beguiling dinners in the vineyards.

Pacific Wine & Food Classic, California

August 15-16, 2020

Newport Beach, California, is the backdrop for this indulgent culinary event. Named one of the best food festivals in North America, Pacific Food & Wine Classic brings local culinary legends and Southern California’s celebrated food and wine together with an idyllic coastal setting. Try the wines of California favourites such as Bronco Wines, Copper Cane and Daou; sample the summer cocktails of expert mixologists; and taste the food of more than 60 of California’s top chefs. Visitors from farther afield can book a package inclusive of a hotel and shuttle service.

The Oxford Wine Festival, UK

September 4-5, 2020

If you’re looking for insight into the UK’s burgeoning winemaking scene, this festival in Oxford is a good place to start. Around 40 of the UK’s leading wine merchants and the people behind some of UK’s most prominent vineyards gather in one of Oxford’s most iconic buildings, the Oxford Union. These wine experts are then joined by representatives of the award-winning and rare wines of over 20 countries around the world. Live music, food and expert-led tastings complete the festival experience. Each ticket includes 11 wine samples.
