Located in the Northern Desert Belt, Dubai’s summers are very humid and extremely hot, so it’s best to visit this beacon of art, culture & architecture during the winter months between December and March. With a pleasant average temperature of 25°C during the day, you can freely enjoy sightseeing, al fresco dining, and outdoor activities without the need to search for air conditioning wherever you go.

Enjoy a desert safari

Winter in Dubai lends itself to a desert adventure. Cooler day temperatures mean that you can enjoy different activities in the dunes, from taking part in a dune buggy or quad tour to sand skiing and riding on a camel into the sunset. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you could go on an overnight desert safari with barbecue dinner and count the stars while you get cosy in your sleeping bag. Another incredible way to see Dubai’s deserts is to soar over them during a hot air balloon ride.

Stay in an amazing hotel

Staying in a luxurious hotel in Dubai is certainly an item on many travellers’ bucket lists, and there is a wide abundance of places to choose from. One of the most expensive ones to experience is the Burj Al Arab. The world’s only seven-star hotel is shaped like a giant sail offering incredible panoramic views of the city and the ocean, as well as personal butlers, private beach access or a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce.

If The Burj Al Arab is just a little out of reach, don’t fret, because there are lots of other options like the centrally located Palace Downtown boasting high-end amenities and a man-made lake. The Conrad Dubai welcomes guests into a lush garden oasis and spoils them with a stunning view of the city and the Arabian Sea. Alternatively, the elegant Ritz-Carlton offers a private beach, a multitude of top-notch dining options and glamorous suites. To book one of these or view all of the luxury hotels on offer in Dubai, visit The Collection today!

Visit the Global Village

Taking place between October - April, the Global Village is a popular attraction during the winter months welcoming visitors into a big festival park area for a multi-cultural experience. Live performances, traditional food, fun rides for the entire family, and great shopping are reasons why tourists and locals alike pour in for some great entertainment.

Go on a shopping spree

What would a holiday be without strolling around the local shops? In Dubai you can do way more than a little bit of browsing, because Dubai Mall takes shopping to the next level. It’s the world’s largest shopping mall and a one-stop location for all things entertainment.

You can visit the colourful Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, ice-skate around the Olympic-sized rink, or catch the latest movie in the giant cinema complex. Other than that, visitors can see art exhibitions and live music events as well as indulge in endless eating and shopping possibilities. The extravagant Dubai shopping festival also takes place during winter in the months of December and January.

Dine in the Burj Khalifa (and go to the top)

The winter months in Dubai are ideal for taking advantage of the cooler temperatures and enjoying some outdoor dining. Throwing a stunning city panorama into the mix, the Burj Khalifa is hard to beat offering bird’s eye views while you tuck into a mouth-watering dish.

If you’re already in the world’s tallest building, it would be rude not to rise to the very top of this masterpiece of a skyscraper at 829,8 metres and drink in the majestic views of the city, the vast desert and the deep blue ocean, before you head to one of the exclusive restaurants of Burj Khalifa.

Whether you’re craving Italian, Indian or Japanese, you’ll find high-end cuisines from all around the world here with the restaurant At.mosphere being located 442 metres above ground level making your dining experience in Dubai even more special.
