Pierre Loti Hill, Istanbul
Merkez, İdris Köşkü Cd., 34050 Eyüpsultan
Rising above the sleepy suburb of Eyüp is Pierre Loti Hill, named after the French novelist who once drew inspiration from the view over the Golden Horn. The experience begins at the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, located at its base. Marvel at the spiritual landmark before ascending, either on foot, shaded by swaying cypress, or via scenic cable car. At the top, a charming tea house serves çay (the Turkish word for tea) where locals and tourists alike sip the fragrant brew, play backgammon and soak in the tranquil view.
